Especially with the current state of the U.S. economy, now is the time to tighten your belt. Without writing a novel, here are a few things a small business can consider in this expense category.
  • Is your yellow page listing effective? If not, start tracking it right now and relook at it again in two months. Maybe this should be stopped all together.
  • Most people are now using the Internet. Maybe you should switch to local online advertising options?
  • Is your postcard campaign bringing people in? Maybe this needs to be more directed or done less often?
  • Do you have an ad in a publication that you know isn’t working but you did it as a favor to someone? Now might be the time to stop it or consider alternatives.
